As the Vice President of Business Development for Advanced Recovery Systems, Allison spearheads the national business development department, nurtures and maintains key relationships for the organization, oversees brand development, and creates and implements educational outreach and prevention programs. Allison identifies opportunities for Advanced Recovery Systems' to share their vision for a better behavioral healthcare landscape through a myriad of partnerships, speaking engagements and innovative campaigns.
Allison previously held several executive and leadership roles, including owner and chief executive officer of McKenna Walsh Consulting and Professional Management, founder of Helping Other People Eat (H.O.P.E.), a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of eating disorders, and referral relations manager for UF Health Florida Recovery Center at Orlando Health. Allison has served on multiple local and national nonprofit boards and task forces including the National Eating Disorders Association, Eating Disorders Network of Central Florida, Project Opioid, and Orange County's Heroin Task Force Treatment Committee.
A former Miss Florida, Allison enjoys public speaking and has personally spoken to over 100,000 people across the U.S. She has been featured in national media outlets and publications including FOX News, Huff Post Live, and programs by Lifetime, PBS and NBC. Further, her work in the eating disorders field has been highlighted in nonfiction memoirs such as Diane Keaton’s Then Again and Johanna Kandel’s Life Beyond Your Eating Disorder.
