Dana Giblock, LCSW, has led an energetic and impactful career in social work for nearly 20 years. A University of Tampa (BS) graduate, Dana's devotion to helping people strengthened as she completed her master's degree in social work (MSW) at Barry University, achieving LCSW status.
Equipped with valuable knowledge and passion for making a difference, Dana planted roots in Daytona Beach and began her career at a local advocacy center. There, she served as an individual and family therapist, pioneered the CBHA assessment process in Volusia and Flagler Counties, and eventually assumed responsibility as a unit supervisor.
Her powerful ability to lead others and her zeal for the individuals she was assisting didn't go unnoticed as Dana continued to advance into managerial positions at other organizations over the course of her career. Between directing and training new staff and leading national accreditation, she also inherited a deep understanding of business and helped grow the profitability of each organization.
Finally, Dana joined forces with another individual, and through multi-level collaboration, she developed, implemented and enhanced service delivery to youths with mental health disorders. Additionally, she coached and supervised a team of 25+ individuals of various educational levels and life experiences. She frequently attends national, state and local meetings and conferences as an influential collaborator in social marketing, data collection, research and evaluation, technical assistance and youth advocacy.
