Ryan graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in business and a concentration in sales and marketing. That same year, he began his career working in the toxicology industry, educating physicians and medical professionals on tools to identify patients who need help with substance abuse. Toxicology made it possible to identify who needed help and healing. This made for a smooth transition into the addiction treatment industry in 2013. Ryan quickly learned that social stigma, adequate health insurance and willingness were the top barriers to treatment. By understanding the needs of each individual client, and working to coordinate in-services and educational events throughout Florida and beyond, Ryan strives to be a force for positive change.
Throughout his career representing top treatment programs in Florida and throughout the country, Ryan saw first-hand the devastating affects of substance abuse and how it affected the lives of so many people, many who he is close to personally. He adds, “We know that there are over 20 million people in this country that need specialized treatment for addiction, but they are not getting it. This is a huge problem, but it’s a huge opportunity to help 20 million people find healing.” In his role with Orlando Recovery Center and Next Generation Village, Ryan is passionate about reaching out to the community and breaking down the barriers to treatment so that more people can find hope and healing in recovery.
