FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (April 3, 2020) — Advanced Recovery Systems remains committed to the health, safety and long-term recovery of our patients and communities during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Meeting regularly with a support group of peers in recovery is an essential part of addiction treatment aftercare due to the numerous benefits for lifelong healing. To better support people in recovery who may also be practicing social distancing at this time, we’re proud to announce the launch of The Recovery Village Recovery Room app for online recovery meetings.
The Recovery Village Recovery Room app allows support groups to conveniently host free, anonymous meetings online rather than in person to help their members get the encouragement and support they need without leaving their homes. Participants who use The Recovery Village Recovery Room app can host unlimited meetings through videoconference calls. Hosts can create a meeting by answering a few questions, sharing their meeting link with attendees, then clicking the link to join their meeting.
Providing tools and resources to support patients’ successful recovery after leaving our facilities has always been an integral part of the comprehensive, evidence-based treatment at The Recovery Village. The Recovery Village Recovery Room app, like many of our online resources, extends this philosophy to the entire recovery community. Participants do not have to be former or existing patients with us to utilize the app.
To protect the confidentiality of participants, our meetings platform complies with federal and state health care privacy regulations and standards. People in recovery interested in hosting an online recovery meeting can visit www.therecoveryvillage.com to learn more.
