Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my client qualifies for treatment at an ARS facility?

We make it easy for hospitals and medical professionals to check their patients’ insurance eligibility with our real-time insurance benefit checker. By filling out a simple, secure form, you can find out an individual’s insurance coverage in a matter of seconds. If you have any additional questions, reach out to your community outreach representative to verify your patient’s insurance benefits.

How quickly can a patient be admitted to an ARS facility?

When it comes to behavioral health treatment, we know that time is of the essence for both hospitals and the patients they serve. That’s why we we’re proud to offer same-day admissions to clients who qualify for care.

Do admissions take place during specific days and times?

At ARS, we take great care to ensure we have admissions coordinators available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Admissions to ARS take place every day, including holidays and weekends.

Does ARS offer discounts for private pay?

Yes. We discount our private pay rates to make treatment available to more patients. If there are still financial barriers stopping one of your patients from undergoing care at an ARS facility, we can work with them to create a specialized payment plan.

What are ARS’ in-network and out-of-network insurance policies?

ARS is in-network with several major insurance companies. To find out if your patient is in network with us, you can contact your community outreach representative directly or consult our real-time insurance verification form. We also accept most insurance policies with out-of-network benefits. But payment isn’t just limited to these two channels. Your community outreach representative will gladly work with you to assess your client’s situation, and create an individualized payment plan whenever possible.

How does ARS accommodate facility-to-facility transfers?

Our goal is to make transfers as quick, simple and seamless as possible. With easy insurance verification and same-day admissions, ARS can transfer patients at a significantly faster rate than most rehabilitation facilities.

What levels of care are offered at ARS facilities?

ARS prides itself on providing patients with access to a full continuum of recovery care. This includes medical detox, inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient and aftercare treatment. While every ARS facility does not offer every level of care, we can assess your patient’s needs and enroll them in the center that can best accommodate them.

How many days a week do ARS facilities offer programming?

In addition to individual and family therapy sessions, we provide programming seven days per week. However, only clients in the intensive, early levels of care undergo programming this often. As patients gradually step down to less involved treatment levels, the number of programming days gradually decrease as deemed clinically appropriate.

Do ARS facilities utilize any medications during treatment?

We may utilize medication or tapers during the detoxification phase of treatment if medically necessary. However, policies for medications and tapers may vary from facility to facility. Once the detoxification process is complete and the patient is medically stable, taper use is discontinued. If any underlying co-occurring conditions have been identified, patients will receive appropriate medication to address them.

What is the average length of stay at ARS facilities?

While length of stay can vary dramatically from patient to patient, the typical length of stay is somewhere between 30 and 90 days. However, each individual client’s length of stay cannot be determined until they have been assessed on-site by medical professionals and treatment providers. Length of stay is subject to change depending on the rate the client progresses through treatment programs and each level of care.
