Your Recovery Is Our Mission

Frank TurrentineFrank Turrentine ★★★★★ I was awakened at 330am and informed that an ambulance was en route, because my oxygen levels were dangerously low. No surprise there. I'd been there 48 hours after an extended meth binge, and I'd been moved to residential status the previous day. I am sixty three years old and last year had a quadruple bypass, open heart surgery and came to the facility with both a stationary and a portable oxygen accumulator. So to me, none of this was a surprise, though I will admit that I have difficulty reattaching my oxygen in the state that I was in. SoI'm sure a nurse would have been a good idea nearby under the circumstances.I was pretty bummed about going to the hospital since my numbers come right back up when the oxygen is on. But I can understand that they need to cover their ass. However, they also made it clear that I wouldn't be accepted back because of this difficulty. That bothered me more because none of this was a secret. I told them all about it from the initial call until I showed up with all my equipment and clothes.I did not meet a single person on the patient end of things that I could say a harsh word about. I made it to one group, and I could tell that I would probably really like this place. However, the business office or whoever handles that crap really screwed me over. It is 2 days later and I still have not received my medication, which I assumed would be overnighted. Everything the hospital that they sent me to gave me was in that bag. All the hospital gave me was a strong diuretic, which is exactly identical till the diuretic, that was in my medications.I will call my doctor now and try to get them all refilled since, they're obviously not going to show up today either. So if you've got health concerns, maybe this isn't the place. Although the nursing staff were all great. I liked the people here. I was motivated to recover. From my own history. I know that's all that's necessary. I am terminally ill to begin with. So to me, it's a question of how I want to spend the rest of my life. If someone asked me whether I thought they should go to recovery village or not. I would say, go for it.But my story reflects the realities of the business of recovery. Hopefully, there are sufficient numbers of people whose stories reflect the reality of the miracle of recovery. I'm disappointed and truly sad that I cannot be among the latter.Stephanie BrownStephanie Brown ★★★★★ The recovery center was very helpful helping me get sober great staff there also ❤️Lorron BradleyLorron Bradley ★★★★★ This place saved my life. I was broken, scared and didn’t have one answer - other than I needed help.I was beyond sick and tired of being sick and tired. After my 41 day stay, I walked out the door feeling alive again. I was happy again. Feeling again. The education I received still leaves me feeling so very grateful. You have to bust your tail in here - if you want it.The warmth. The understanding. The guidance. The pushes and nudges.I think about every person that helped me on my sobriety path in there.. they became “my people.”I couldn’t think of a better way to end this day….to recognize and pay my sincere gratitude and respects to the wonderful people who make Palmer Lake what it is. Russell VigilRussell Vigil ★★★★★ My experience at recovery village was not only what I needed to get a grasp back on my life, but it was top notch in every aspect. From Dr. Wilki to the therapist like Elissa, Dr. G, David, Janet, Cop Rob, Megan, Kaylee, and the rest of the clinicians, I learned so much about myself. Can't forgot the Bht team as well as the Kitchen staff. Every part of the PLR team was always on point and gave 100% of their effort to help me with such a strong start to my recovery. I would not only recommend PLR to any and everyone I know dealing with a hard time but have a level of confidence that I didnt have before going to this facility. I thank each and every person involved but, im so thankful and grateful for everything that was done and have no thoughts about failing my program or recovery. Thank you for everything you guys do and for getting my life back on track. Love you guys. -RussMonica BresciMonica Bresci ★★★★★ They helped my spouse to recover n go into a rehab with a good out look for a healthy lifeMontessa MooreMontessa Moore ★★★★☆ A little disorganized when i was there but still a great place to go. Griuos were geeat and the therapist were caring. 4 months sober.Mary PalmerMary Palmer ★★★★★ The Recovery Village at Palmer Lake is a wonderful facility. From the minute we contacted the organization until the day we left the facility after finishing rehab, they were nothing but kind, patient and professional. The first counselor we spoke with over the phone was so kind and helpful. His name was Matt. Thank you Matt, wherever you might be. Thanks for listening during our most harrowing moments. Thanks for making sure we felt safe contacting you again. I am so glad I kept your contact number after that first call. And thanks to The Revovery Village for guiding us through the burocracy of FMLA+ and the health insurance maze. Because of your professional knowledge and assistance about the financial programs and hurdles, my son came out of rehab with his home and job in place. Your program removed the fear many people have when they seek medical help. Financial risks are real and I am grateful your organization helped us avoid the many pitfalls out there. Our family is so much better than I ever could have hoped for. Our path still lies before us, with choices to be made, both errors and victories. I am ever grateful we have the future before us and the opportunity to make those choices. If you're considering rehab, look here. This is the best choice we could have made.Thank you all.js_loader
