Delena DuffyDelena Duffy ★★★★★ From Audrey, to Astella, Dee, Jimmy, Jenna, and Vallery, Dwayne, to Jon I have never felt more safe. The staff cared for me until I learned to care for myself. No words can encompass the way I have felt about the people who are my tribe in this journey. You are all rockstars and you all have a special place in my new heart where all the brokenpieces have been put back together and made me feel whole for the first time. This is priceless, this is complete. Thank you and love you all! DelenaJames HandJames Hand ★★★★★ I have experienced exponential growth during a tumultuous process of change. I have rediscovered the person I was before the chaos of addiction took control of my life. After identifying the root causes of my addiction and addressing issues that I refused to accept because I was incapable of accepting the reality that I was a severely depressed individual suffering from anxiety and running from the reality that every decision I made in life led me exactly where I was, I began my journey to reclaiming control of my life. Being duel diagnosed with anxiety, depression, alcohol and substance dependence , a treatment plan was made. By working together with the clinical, therapeutic ,and behavioral teams I was able to learn how to accept responsibility for the role that my lifestyle choices, poor self-efficacy, lack of coping skills were the root causes and my addiction was the result. Working closely with my individual therapist Racheal and a team of professionals, I met my issues head on and began learning how to manage my emotions and alternatives for coping with life in a logical and rational manner. Each member of the team I worked with met me with enthusiasm and passion. They were empathetic to my individual treatment needs and never gave up on me even when I was ready to give up on myself. I was pushed outside of my comfort zone. I Learned how to identify and regulate emotions. I learned coping skills and communication skills that are essential in navigating life. I learned to recognize the value I hold as an individual. Codependency and the need for outside validation was addressed. Past trauma was resolved. I rediscovered who I was and now look at life in a new way. I came through these doors irritable discontented and demanding relief. I am grateful that I did. A special thanks Jasmine and all the other kind souls that that taught me that grace is sufficient for our weakness. Thank you to everyone that was a part of this journey. No matter our past, we have a spotless future.cory mckinneycory mckinney ★★★★★ Honestly one of the better places that I’ve been for treatment. A majority of the staff is awesome and very understanding, the techs are great and make your stay the most comfortable they can. The detox portion is honestly one of the most comfortable detox’s I’ve ever been at. They try to make it as painless and easy as they can to help you get off of whatever it is you’re coming off of and you can relax and you’re not required to go to groups while in detox like most other places force you to do ( you can if you want but it’s not required) there are tv’s in the detox rooms so it really is the most comfortable detox I’ve been at and I’ve been to a lot. Smoking is aloud here which is a definite plus compared to other places which have stopped it. Your are also permitted to use your own cell phone after a 72hr black out period which is a big plus most all places do not allow this. Throughout the whole program of residential and PHP you get more freedom the further through the program you are. This really is I would say is a very luxurious rehab located in a good area. I want to give a huge shoutout to some of the staff specifically like Chef D and Chef Brie amazing food always. Techs lance (who is very understanding) and coupe. Watch out if you keep snacks in your room for like late night when your hungry Dwane will room raid and take all of them lol. Huge shoutout to the therapists especially Destiny who helped me a lot and Jada. And Ally who is director over the therapist. I would highly recommend this place to anyone struggling with addiction and if I ever needed help again this is the place I will be going.Jamee ShaverJamee Shaver ★★★★★ Best addiction center, I've learned a lot from my stay there.Jeff BlessingJeff Blessing ★★★★★ This place is what you make it. Most people that arent serious leave within a week. If you graduate from here i dont see why you cant stay clean. I met amazing people from here who are serious about recovery. This place was the last house on the block for me. The therapists try to help you the classes are long but make day go by. Generally most of the bhts are pretty nice. The therapist jasmine is very good. I stayed 54 days and it helped me. The food is pretty good sometimes the rooms can be cold or really hot if you ask they will adjust temperature. This place is not gonna give you suboxone or a long taper off benzos. They have meetings every night. There are things that will test you here but if you really want to stay clean you can get thru recovery villiage of atlantaRashaad JacksonRashaad Jackson ★★★★★ Shot out the the therapist Justie and Destiny and Jasmine! To the cooks and the tects. THE PLACE IS NICE BUT THOSE ONES MADE IT GREAT!!Caden BassettCaden Bassett ★★★★★ Great therapists, techs, and kitchen crew. I have been on drugs for 24 years and this is where my journey began for help. I am now a year Sober. Everything I learned there has helped me. Coping skills taught very well. They explained how to just be a healthy person making better choices. I am so thankful for this place. If u need help and want to get better... This is a wonderful choiceThe food was good and rooms are super nice and private. I cannot express how much this place helped me.Love u Nurse Kathy. And the man in charge Dewayne was strict as hell but very helpful and they truly care about youWilliam DupreeWilliam Dupree ★★★★★ Kim RobertsKim Roberts ★★★★★ I enjoyed my time at RVA! I learned so much about myself and my recovery and made some lifelong friends along the way. The food is good- yes, there’s a lot of chicken but they change it up and make it pretty tasty! Some of the staff are AMAZING and then there are a handful of techs and nurses that could use some lessons in “bedside manner”. Coop, Tech Dewayne, Kevin, Ken, Lance (and others I’m sure I’m forgetting) are just incredible people that truly care! It took me a bit to get adjusted, as I had never done residential treatment before, but then I began to actually enjoy groups (most of the time). I’ll be forever grateful for RVA and I am actually going back to college to get my BSW and MSW and hopefully work here one day! The therapists are also amazing and caring- shout out to Jenna who inspired me to follow my dream and go back to school. I am 84 days sober today and happier than I’ve ever been thanks to RVA!!!Asa WalkerAsa Walker ★★★★★ The clinical literature and the staff are very attentive and helpful to my recoveryAaron LovelyAaron Lovely ★★★★★ Took a bit to get used to it, but I gained so much while here and wished I’d stayed for longer even with the schedule and issues faced. Started working through many of my difficulties with my therapist and utilization of my tools taught to me. Would recommend for the first stepping stone to extended recovery.Paxton PettisPaxton Pettis ★★★★★ I came into RVA a lost, broken, sick man. The previous 5 years I was so spiritually sick and lost in my addiction. RVA completely restored me. With the help of the therapists, group facilitators, nursing, and most importantly the brotherhood at RVA, I was able to put my life back together and find my true calling in life. I spent 54 days at RVA and it was the best choice I could have ever made. I am forever grateful for this place, 10/10 would recommend to anyone suffering from drug addiction/alcoholismElizabeth MariaElizabeth Maria ★★★★☆ I checked myself in to Recovery Village after having issues with moving back in with my mother. A lot of old destructive patterns emerged and I needed help processing. Recovery Village is not perfect, there were some staff that were mean and honesty exacerbated my issues however overall the experience was highly beneficial. I learned about DBT while I was a client there and I was able to have a Successful family therapy session that helped heal aged wounds. If you are someone who needs help processing family matters or any type of drug and alcohol issue I do believe That this facility can help there are certain therapists there that are just excellent and want you to get better.
