J CJ C ★★★★☆ My therapist Shae was amazing! He is what kept me there on days I really wanted to quit. I couldn’t have done it without him! From the first time I met him in detox to having one on one sessions. He helped me find myself again and so much more! By the end of the stay I didn’t want to go. Thank you Shea!!!!As for the rest, the meals were great for the most part. Most of the staff was kind and caring excusing the few bad apples. There were a lot of spiders and ants in the room and we did not have a tv. But they do allow you to keep your phone at all times with cameras covered and your vape after detox. In detox you are kept comfortable. I just took my meds and slept for 4 days and boy did I need that rest! The worst part was that I was told they took Medicaid then told they don’t. Then told they will take both of my insurances and that they were on my file to later find out only my primary was on there. The consistency here isnt the best. My whole stay someone would tell me something and another the exact opposite. But other than that I would say it was a nice stay. Also nurse Kendra in meds was so joyful. And Mr. David and Jessica’s classes were interesting and fun. I really enjoyed my instructors.Katie Cole CalvertKatie Cole Calvert ★★★★★ The building got a great remodel and is super comfortable. The outdoor space is gorgeous. The staff is incredible. From the BHTs to the doctors. With Britney the nurse being the true all star. I couldn’t be more pleased with the way the program is set up and the staff and setting. The food is definitely hit or miss and the coffee is not great but the new vending machines definitely help! Even if you feel that you just need to go to detox safely this is the spot. Highly recommend!!! I miss my girl Brit!Poppy MoonPoppy Moon ★★★★★ Palmer Lake Recovery Center truly changed my life. From the second I arrived, I felt peace that I hadn’t felt in a long time. Nestled up in the mountains, surrounded by pine trees and fresh mountain air, this place feels more like healing for the soul than just a rehab center. The smell of the mountain air alone is enough to calm your nervous system. It’s quiet, beautiful, and peaceful in a way that’s hard to even explain unless you’ve experienced it yourself. The staff here are beyond amazing. Every single person from the therapists, techs, nurses, BHTs, kitchen staff, maintenance, and everybody in between treated me with kindness, patience, and genuine care. You can tell these people truly want to see others heal and succeed. I never felt judged here. I felt human again. And the FOOD? Hands down five-star. No exaggeration. The cooks absolutely kill it every single day. The meals were honestly some of the best food I’ve had in a long time, and they put real love into it. That matters more than people realize when you’re trying to heal. The campus itself is beautiful. There’s a tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, walking track, hammocks to relax in under the trees, and a huge gym packed with equipment treadmills, weights, workout machines, bikes, benches, and more. There’s always something healthy and positive to do for your mind and body. What makes Palmer Lake special is the atmosphere. There’s peace here. Real peace. The kind where your mind finally quiets down enough to hear yourself think again. The kind where healing feels possible.I’m beyond grateful for every person I met here and everything this place gave me. Palmer Lake Recovery Center will always hold a special place in my heart. 🏔️❤️‍🩹Geoffrey CalnanGeoffrey Calnan ★★★★★ This is the best facility for miles. There is a reason why they are always full. I was able to let down my guard when it comes to learning new techniques & actually putting them in place. The negative part of the Center was that they need to hire more cleaners or janitors.
