In October 2018, Advanced Recovery Systems announced a partnership with Cooper University Health Care to build a new state-of-the-art, 90-bed inpatient treatment facility in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This facility, The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper, now delivers compassionate, evidence-backed care for substance use disorders and co-occuring mental health conditions.

I had a very good experience at Recovery Village. Everyone for the most part was professional and courteous. The patients were amazing and probably the best part of my stay. The 4 star review is really only because of the seeming miscommunication with some of the staff department. Nothing can really be perfect though. After care could have been a little more comprehensive as well. The food was adequate. Not 5 star but its a rehab people come on. Some staff highlightes are nurses Matt and Corrina and Chase. My therapist Taylor was also awesome as well. TJ the new BHT was amazing as well. Don't let the poor reviews thwart you. No one really knows a place unless they've been there. My worst experience there were the nightly AA meetings. It was just a bunch of scare you straight horror stories that honestly triggered me more than helped me. But other than that a really great experience that I hope never to have again. But then again, that's the point, right?

I am currently in treatment and was at Recovery Villiage back in September. I came in so broken, defeated, lost, I was walking around basically with no emotion left. Until, I met the staff, therapists, facilitators, nurses, alumni coordinator, Dr's, I could go on for hours. My therapist Melissa gave me hope, and taught and showed me that I was a great person who has a disease, who made very bad choices in active addiction. Im working on that daily. Not identifying my character by my past experiences. Recently, I had a minor slip up with my medication.. so im taking the accountability, and if any knows me they know one thing im authentic and transparent. So im deciding to go back to the place that saved my life, im going back to RV. Their is no place id rather be to work on this behavior and figure out why after six months I decided to make that choice to pick up.

What a great place and an amazing experience. Unfortunately, not every "rehab" is like this (see my review on Flager Health and Wellness). Given, it doesn't say much about me as I've been in rehab multiple times. Had I started here maybe the outcome would have been better the first time. I was only there to detox but would've happily stayed for 30 or 45 days. It's a drag but I simply had too much happening at work to stay longer. When I left it was good to go home but I was sincerely sad to leave. The staff, in particular Lee Anne, were absolutely great, the food was awesome and the groups sessions were eye opening, encouraging and, in a very profound way, life changing. The people that I met were also wonderful. While no one is excited to go to rehab they create an environment where you'd think the opposite. The stories that were shared were moving and reassuring. There's something motivating to know that you're not in this alone. My roommate was a bit of a weirdo, but they've got no control over that.I cannot recommend the Recovery Village enough. If you have a substance abuse issue (which many, many people do), pick up the phone and call them. Don't be scared or apprehensive, these people are truly there to help you.The only complaint I have concerns their IOP, which I think has since merged into the general OP. I was enrolled, and really benefited from it. I had to attend a work conference in the middle of this. Despite explaining this, providing documentation, etc., I was dropped and not allowed to complete because I missed two sessions (again, I was in conferences that didn’t conclude until late in the evening). The counselor with whom I was working (think her name was Cindy) didn’t even bother to return my calls. I was really disappointed over this and had to drop a star from the rating.But overall this place really is great. I don’t even hold a grudge against the counselor who didn’t return my calls. Got the feeling she was running in 30 directions at once. So, if you, or someone you know, has that monkey on their back, give the Recovery Village a try.

The Recovery Village has saved my life! The staff in Cherry Hill is hands down the best of the best! Trauma therapy was a game changer for me! Tiffany is the ABSOLUTE BEST..she listens, she really gets to know her clients and connects with them on a personal level providing trust, support, encouragement and profound insight. The BHT’s were amazing, Dom, Big Kevin, Gia, Rashad, Jas, Shannon, Lori, Frank, and their leaders Jenn and Kevin… they took the time to get to know you better and have a good relationship with patients. The leadership team takes the time to get to know you and you’re more than just a number, they take the time to help in anyway they can. Matt, alumni coordinator, is unlike anyone I have ever met! He goes above and beyond for patients and advocates for us..he does an incredible amount of service to keep us connected, super grateful!
