International Association of Fire Fighters Center of Excellence Now In-Network with Humana

Humana members across the country can now use in-network benefits for treatment of substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other co-occurring mental health issues.

Upper Marlboro, Md – November 20, 2017—The International Association of Fire Fighters Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is now in network with Humana, providing greater and more affordable access to behavioral health treatment for IAFF members in the U.S. and Canada.

A first-of-its-kind facility, the Center of Excellence specializes in comprehensive care for professional fire fighters and paramedics struggling with addiction, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress and co-occurring mental health issues.

“With Humana now an in-network provider, more of our members will have increased access to our Center of Excellence and the specialized care they deserve,” said IAFF General President Harold Schaitberger.

The IAFF Center of Excellence is a full-service treatment facility located outside of Washington, D.C., specializing in comprehensive care for professional fire fighters and paramedics struggling with substance abuse, post-traumatic stress and co-occurring mental health issues. The center is a Maryland licensed treatment provider and an accredited provider of behavioral healthcare services by The Joint Commission.

The IAFF Center of Excellence is a joint project between the IAFF and Advanced Recovery Systems, an integrated behavioral healthcare management company.

Located outside of Washington, D.C., the full-service treatment facility is a Maryland-licensed treatment provider and has received accreditation by The Joint Commission, in addition to the organization’s Gold Seal of Approval.
